All you need to know about Songzter’s songwriters competition april 2024

SONGZTER’S songwriters Competition 2024 (April 13th, 20th, 27th)

Event Overview:

We are excited to present Songzter’s Songwriters Competition that will showcase the incredible talents of songwriters in the heart of Nashville, Tennessee. This event will span three days of intense competition, offering both live and PPV LIVE streaming experiences on the SONGZTER app. With an in-person audience, 16 contestants will have the opportunity to win cash prizes, gain exposure, and the possibility to connect with experienced professionals in the music business.

Event Format:

  • Duration: Three days
  • Live Stream: PPV live streaming on the SONGZTER app
  • In-Person Audience: Yes
  • Contestants: 16 in total (selected through video auditions) 

Event Dates and Location:

  • Auditions: Video submission – To participate go to http://www.songzter.com/  and fill out the audition form.
  • Main Event: April 13th, April 20th, and April 27th, 2024, from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM
  • Location: To be announced (Downtown Nashville)

Contest Structure:

  • 16 contestants will be selected through the video audition submissions.
  • The main event will span three days, each day lasting no longer than three hours.
  • Day 1:
  • 8 contestants perform; 2 contestants advance (1 to semi-finals and one straight to finals)
  • Day 2:
  • 8 contestants perform; 2 contestants advance (1 to semi-finals and one straight to finals)
  • Day 3:
  • 1 contestant will be brought back via audience redemption to compete in the semi-finals. 
  • 3 contestants (1 redemption, week 1 and week 2 runners up) compete in semi-finals. Winner of the semi-finals moves on to compete in the finals. 
  • 3 contestants (1 winner of semi-finals, week 1 winner and week 2 winner) compete in the final showdown on same day to compete for first and second place.

Compensation:

The 16 contestants will receive compensation for their participation.

Prizes:

First Place: $10,000, One song fully produced, and a music video.

Second Place: $1,000

Voting and Judging:

Three judges will evaluate contestants based on their songwriting skills, performance, and creativity.

The audience will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite contestants through the SONGZTER app adding additional points to the judges scores to determine the winners.

Rights and Policies:

This proposal includes the necessary rights and policies to protect both the participants and the organizing company separately in the state of Tennessee:

Participant Rights:

  1. Intellectual Property Rights:
    • Each contestant retains all intellectual property rights to their original songs.
    • The organizer company retains the right to use, record, and distribute the contestants’ performances for promotional and archival purposes.
  2. Release and Waiver:
    • Contestants agree to release and waive any claims against the organizer company for any injuries or damages that may occur during the event.
  3. Confidentiality:
    • The organizer company and participants agree to keep confidential any proprietary information shared during the event.
  4. Indemnification:
    • Both the organizer company and participants agree to indemnify and hold each other harmless from any legal claims or liabilities arising from the event.
  5. Governing Law:
    • This agreement is governed by the laws of the state of Tennessee.
    • Any disputes or disagreements will be resolved through arbitration in accordance with the laws of Tennessee.

    • Any disputes arising from this agreement will be resolved through mediation or arbitration in accordance with the laws of Tennessee.

Organizer Company Rights:

The organizing company retains the rights to the event’s branding, marketing materials, and any recordings or broadcasts of the event.

The organizing company reserves the right to make changes to the event schedule or structure if necessary and with prior notice to all participants.

Compensation Policy: Contestants will be compensated during the main event, which includes both performance time and any additional time required for setup and preparation.

Efficiency Clauses:

  • Event Schedule: All participants agree to be present and adhere to the schedule outlined for the event, including rehearsal times and performance slots.
  • Technical Requirements: The organizer company is responsible for ensuring they have the necessary equipment and technical setup for their performances.
  • Fair Play: Contestants are expected to engage in fair competition, avoiding any unethical behavior to gain votes. Failure to adhere to fair play standards will result in disqualification from the contest.
  • Contestant Cooperation: Contestants are expected to cooperate with event organizers and follow their instructions for a smooth event.

In the event of unforeseen circumstances, such as extreme weather or technical difficulties, the organizers reserve the right to reschedule or cancel the event with proper notice.
